Job summary

Gough Recruitment seeks a detail‑oriented compliance lead to own statuary building compliance across a broad property portfolio. You will oversee fire safety, WHS, contractor management and offshore support to ensure timely risk mitigation and documentation.

You will guide strata managers, interpret technical reports, and drive continuous improvement in systems and reporting to maintain top-tier compliance across sites in NSW.

Qualifications

• Experience managing building compliance across multiple sites or a large property portfolio.
• Working knowledge of NSW strata, fire safety and WHS legislation.
• Experience with compliance registers, contractor management and risk mitigation.
• Ability to interpret technical reports and drive rectification through to completion.
• Experience managing remote or offshore support teams.
• Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• Strata compliance experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the portfolio-wide statutory compliance program, including registers, reporting, deadlines and audit trails.
• Oversee fire safety, Annual Fire Safety Statements, essential services, pools, lifts and other building safety obligations.
• Manage WHS requirements across commercial and mixed-use properties.
• Monitor contractor performance, verify credentials and drive service quality.
• Lead offshore support staff, establishing efficient workflows and quality standards.
• Provide practical compliance advice and training to strata managers.
• Support insurance renewals with compliance information and identify regulatory risks.
• Improve systems, processes and reporting for proactive compliance.
