Job summary

The Department of Customer Service in Parramatta is seeking a Senior Building Codes Officer – Practitioner Compliance to join the NSW Building Commission. This permanent role requires deep NCC knowledge, strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.

You will support the Manager, provide advice to stakeholders on the NCC, respond to briefing notes and ministerial correspondence, and help deliver regulatory reform initiatives.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of NCC Series (BCA & Housing Provisions) and performance-based NCC; understanding of Australian Standards.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong time management to prioritise demands and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice to stakeholders on the NCC and building-related matters.
• Support the Manager of the Building Codes team.
• Respond to briefing notes, GIPA requests, ministerial correspondence and media inquiries.
