Job summary

Arup is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to drive design and integration of building management systems across data centres, healthcare, and commercial projects. You will lead control system development, collaborate with MEP and ICT teams, and shape innovative energy-efficient strategies.

You will build client relationships through technical excellence, contribute to proposals, and advance building automation innovations with IoT integration across critical infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• A recognized tertiary qualification in controls, mechatronics, building services, mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 7+ years' experience designing and/or implementing building control systems.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.
• Proven delivery of BMS/SCADA/EPMS and HVAC designs across data centres, healthcare, commercial and critical infrastructure.
• Proficiency with MS Visio, AutoCAD and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Design BMS/building controls systems to optimize building performance, collaborating with MEP and ICT disciplines.
• Integrate BMS, SCADA/EPMS and HVAC into building design with redundancy and resiliency considerations.
• Prepare conceptual design reports, specifications and drawings; conduct site inspections and witness commissioning.
• Lead the design and implementation of control systems for building automation and develop efficient control logic.
• Lead stakeholder engagement plans, communications, meetings and workshops to convey project objectives.
