Job summary

Johnson Controls in Sydney seeks an experienced Project Manager for Building Automation Systems (BMS). You will lead complex, technically challenging projects, from initiation through commissioning, ensuring safety, timeliness, and budget adherence while delivering high-quality outcomes.

You will collaborate with engineers and technicians, manage scope, schedules, and stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement on large-scale automation projects within a global leader in smart building

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Electrical or HVAC, or an Engineering degree.
• Proven experience delivering Building Management Systems (BMS) or BAS projects.
• Strong understanding of BMS architecture and control systems.
• Experience managing projects through design, implementation, testing, commissioning, handover.
• Experience managing project financials, programming, and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong communication, leadership, and customer relationship management skills.
• Ability to adapt in a digitally enabled environment.
• Experience coordinating FAT and SAT activities.
• Knowledge of BIM and AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Visio.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, coordination, execution, and successful delivery of Building Automation and Controls projects.
• Manage project scope, schedule, resources, risks, and budgets to achieve objectives.
• Provide leadership and direction to internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Monitor and report on project financial performance, forecasting, and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards across all activities.
• Build strong customer relationships and act as a trusted advisor.
• Coordinate FAT, SAT, commissioning and handover activities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery and efficiency.
• Maintain high levels of professionalism and accuracy while managing multiple priorities.
