Entegra Shared Services Trust in Beerwah, QLD is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper & Registered BAS Agent to join our accounting team. You will manage BAS lodgement, full-service bookkeeping, and reporting for multiple clients from our Beerwah office, with several positions in other Queensland locations.

You will ensure compliance with ATO requirements and contribute to high standards of financial integrity. The role requires BAS Agent registration, 4+ years of bookkeeping experience, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Current BAS Agent registration with the Australian Taxation Office.
• 4+ years of professional bookkeeping experience.
• Experience with BAS preparation and lodgement.
• Proficient in MYOB and Xero.
• Strong Excel and office software skills.
• Solid knowledge of Australian tax legislation and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and lodging BAS for clients.
• Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and reconciliations.
• Maintaining general ledger entries and proper coding.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for clients.

Senior Bookkeeper & Registered BAS Agent

Entegra Shared Services Trust – Beerwah QLD

Entegra Group is seeking Senior Bookkeeper & Registered BAS Agents to join our growing accounting team. There are full-time positions based in Beerwah, QLD 4519 and Hervey Bay QLD 4655. In this role, you will take on a strategic position within our accounting operations, managing complex bookkeeping functions and providing expert tax administration services. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of financial record-keeping whilst ensuring compliance with Australian Taxation Office (ATO) requirements. This position is integral to supporting our clients and maintaining the trust and integrity that Entegra is known for.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and lodging Business Activity Statements (BAS) on behalf of clients as a Registered BAS Agent

Managing comprehensive bookkeeping services including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing and financial reconciliations

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries and ensuring all transactions are properly coded and classified

Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and statements for clients

Conducting bank and credit card reconciliations and investigating discrepancies

Assisting clients with tax compliance matters and providing guidance on tax obligations

Liaising with ATO officials and addressing tax-related queries and audits

Mentoring and supporting junior bookkeeping staff

Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring data security and confidentiality

Identifying process improvements and implementing efficiencies in bookkeeping operations

What we're looking for

Current registration as a BAS Agent with the Australian Taxation Office (essential requirement)

Minimum 4+ years of professional bookkeeping experience in a similar role

Demonstrated expertise in BAS preparation and lodgement

Strong knowledge of accounting software, including MYOB, Xero or similar platforms

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general office software

Solid understanding of Australian tax legislation and compliance requirements

Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail

Strong organisational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Certificate IV or higher qualification in Accounting & Bookkeeping or related field (preferred)

Experience in a shared services or outsourced accounting environment (preferred)
