Job summary

Sharp & Carter is seeking an experienced bookkeeping or accounting professional to join a growing professional services team in Western Australia. You will manage client bookkeeping and accounting tasks, including GST/BAS and IAS activities, while supporting payroll compliance and document management.

You will coordinate both local and offshore teams, mentor junior staff, and help drive process improvements and technology adoption across the practice.

Qualifications

• Must have strong bookkeeping and client accounting experience.
• Knowledge of Australian GST, BAS, IAS and payroll reporting.
• Proven ability to mentor staff and manage client workflows.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of client bookkeeping and accounting tasks.
• Oversee GST, BAS and IAS activities.
• Support payroll compliance and reporting.
• Manage client files, data and documentation.
• Assist with client onboarding, scoping and pricing.
• Attend client premises to assess bookkeeping and training needs.
• Develop and maintain client procedures and ensure adherence to processes.
• Provide business advisory support to clients.
• Coordinate Australian-based and offshore team members.
• Support the implementation of new technology and process improvements.
• Build strong client relationships and maintain high service standards.
• Collaborate with owners on strategic growth.
