Job summary

Philips is seeking a Senior Biomedical Engineer / Supervisor to support the JP2060 Deployable Health Program. The role combines hands-on biomedical engineering with day-to-day leadership, technical oversight, planning and customer engagement.

You will act as the senior onsite engineering representative to keep medical equipment safe, operational and ready while guiding the JP2060 Biomedical Engineering team.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Biomedical or Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience supporting medical equipment in healthcare, Defence or field service.
• Experience leading or supervising technical teams.
• Knowledge of diagnostic, monitoring, life-support and deployable medical equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, configuration, testing and validation of medical devices and systems.
• Maintain service records, maintenance documentation, and asset histories.
• Provide day-to-day supervision of JP2060 Biomedical Engineering personnel.
• Mentor junior Biomedical Engineers and support staff.
• Support planning, workforce allocation and operational readiness.
• Develop technical reports and engineering assessments.
• Ensure compliance with Philips Quality Management System and safety standards.
• Interface with SAAB Australia, ADF and stakeholders.
