Job summary

The University of Sydney is seeking a Senior Technical Officer for the Biomanufacturing Incubator within the School of Medical Sciences. The role focuses on specialist technical, operational and infrastructure support to enable high-quality biomanufacturing research and project delivery.

You will oversee 3D bioprinting and related equipment, develop workflows, coordinate servicing and safety compliance, and train researchers in using shared resources to optimise facility use and research

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Certified to work in a laboratory environment.
• Significant laboratory experience supporting research activities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, operate and monitor specialised biomanufacturing equipment including 3D bioprinters.
• Support design and optimisation of laboratory infrastructure and workflows.
• Coordinate servicing, calibration and preventative maintenance for safety and reliability.
• Provide hands-on technical support during experimental setup and workflow execution.
• Deliver onboarding and training sessions for new facility users.
