Job summary

Telstra is seeking a Senior BES Capacity Planner to lead capacity planning and deployment for Building Engineering Services across the Telstra network and third‑party sites. You will analyse power and cooling strategies for priority sites, address single points of failure, and drive projects from scoping through design and construction.

You will collaborate with strategy and delivery teams, manage budgets, and provide leadership on complex feasibility studies for Data Centre and Fixed Network

Qualifications

• Experience in Building Engineering Services and related standards.
• Understanding of critical infrastructure environments and risk, resilience, and continuity for always-on networks and data centres.

Responsibilities

• Apply planning methodologies to determine infrastructure shortfalls within the BES portfolio, including DC power, HVAC and UPS.
• Assess and improve resilience of critical infrastructure, identify single points of failure, and develop remediation plans.
• Lead strategic planning tasks for Fixed Network Sites and Data Centres and assess impact of growth and asset age.
• Contribute to complex feasibilities regarding TDI Fixed Network sites and Data Centres.
• Identify opportunities for minimal viable engineering solutions delivering value to TDI customers and new commercial opportunities.
• Undertake scoping and budgeting for design and construction projects, and manage budget, scope and time across projects.
