Job summary

Jemena is seeking a Senior Data Centre Network Planning Engineer to lead planning and development of the data centre network, ensuring high-capacity, resilient delivery aligned with long-term strategy. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other DNSPs and AEMO, to advance solutions that meet customer demand while supporting existing networks.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering with eligibility for Engineers Australia.
• At least 7 years in the electricity supply industry, preferably in Network Capacity Planning.
• Strong understanding of distribution networks and zone substations.
• Experience with joint planning processes and regulatory processes.
• Experience in load flow analysis and fault level studies using PSSE.

Responsibilities

• Load forecasting, staging plans, and network modelling to guide capacity upgrades.
• Collaborate with DNSPs and AEMO in joint planning to meet customer demand.
• Develop technical scopes for connecting new data centres and ensure delivery through design to commissioning.
• Provide guidance aligning engineering decisions with Jemena’s commercial, operational, and environmental objectives.
