Job summary

Berry Street Yooralla is seeking an experienced Specialist Behaviour Support (SBS) Advanced/Specialist Practitioner to join our Allied Health team and help people with disability achieve meaningful outcomes.

You will deliver high-quality Positive Behaviour Support services using trauma-informed, rights-based approaches, mentor practitioners, and collaborate with families, carers and health, education and child services to shape best practice across the service.

Qualifications

• Registration as an Advanced or Specialist PBS Practitioner under NDIS PBS Capability Framework.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence and access to a vehicle.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• International Police Check (where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred Positive Behaviour Support services to people with disability and complex needs.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop evidence-based behaviour support strategies.
• Support individuals, families and care teams to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes.
• Provide clinical supervision and mentoring to PBS Practitioners.
• Contribute to specialist initiatives and programs, including services for young people in out-of-home care and other complex cohorts.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions, skill development and capacity-building supports.
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and with key stakeholders across health, education, child and family services and community sectors.
