Job summary

The Australian Ballet School invites applications for the Deputy Head of School and Artistic Programs. Based at Southbank, this role sits on the senior leadership team and shapes the direction and delivery of the School’s programs.

You will teach in vocational and pre-vocational programs, lead key talent pipelines, coordinate artistic and educational activities and support student wellbeing throughout the journey.

Qualifications

• Extensive professional performing experience in a ballet company.
• Extensive teaching experience across vocational and pre-vocational programs.
• Teaching qualification and/or formal teacher training, or willingness to undertake (Certificate IV in Training and Assessment).

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-level classical ballet training and student development.
• Oversee the Interstate/International Training Program (ITP) as a core talent pipeline.
• Coordinate artistic and educational programs and support student wellbeing.
• Monitor student progress and communicate with families and carers when needed.
• Collaborate with Health and Boarding leadership to support student journey.
