Nine is seeking a Backend Technical Lead to drive the core streaming platform and APIs powering 9Now and Stan. You will lead a high-performance backend team, own cloud-native architectures, and push for robust CI/CD and automation.

The role requires deep Golang, AWS expertise, and a focus on scalable, secure systems while mentoring engineers and collaborating with product owners. North Sydney base with flexible work options.

Qualifications

• Expert Go backend development with AWS and cloud-native architecture.
• Experience leading a backend engineering team and mentoring engineers.
• Proven DevOps mindset with IaC and monitoring tooling.

Responsabilités

• Lead by example writing, reviewing, and deploying high-performance Go code.
• Design and own lifecycle of cloud-based distributed systems and APIs.
• Drive CI/CD adoption, automated testing, and staged rollouts.
• Line manage and mentor engineers for growth and wellbeing.
• Champion AI and automation to enhance monitoring and infra.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to align roadmaps with business goals.
• Resolve complex production issues via root-cause analysis.
