Job summary

Binance is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to lead the development of scalable, high-performance backend services, with a focus on building and optimizing both traditional search and AI-powered search capabilities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop robust search systems that support core business use cases.

This role requires strong backend expertise and a commitment to delivering reliable, efficient solutions that drive Binance’s operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Java and Python.
• Experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with search technologies (Elasticsearch, vector search, hybrid retrieval).
• Experience with big data processing (Flink or Spark) for real-time or batch processing.
• Familiarity with AI-powered search technologies (LLM-based search, RAG, or agent frameworks).
• Cloud infrastructure familiarity and scalable system design.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize scalable backend services supporting traditional and AI-powered search.
• Own architecture of search-related systems for high reliability and performance.
• Develop reusable backend frameworks and infrastructure for search and AI product development.
• Collaborate with data scientists and AI engineers to enable LLM-powered search, ranking, and agents.
• Improve search performance (indexing, retrieval, ranking, latency).
• Translate business needs into scalable search solutions.
• Drive execution in evolving environments.
