Job summary

APRA Career Site is seeking a Senior DevOps and Platform Automation Engineer to provide senior technical leadership across APRA's data delivery platforms, engineering practices and secure software delivery lifecycle. The role focuses on Azure and Azure Databricks, IaC, CI/CD and DevSecOps, with governance and security in mind.

You will mentor engineers, drive automation across cloud and on-prem environments, and contribute to platform reliability and secure delivery through the whole lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on DevOps experience with cloud platforms.
• Proven ability to design secure CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Strong Terraform and IaC implementation experience.
• Experience provisioning and operating Azure Databricks data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical leadership across DevOps and platform automation.
• Design, build and maintain secure automation across Azure, Databricks and on-premises environments.
• Establish reusable infrastructure modules and review practices with Terraform.
• Lead provisioning, configuration, deployment and access controls for Databricks workspaces.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines covering build, test, security and release processes.
• Embed DevSecOps across code repos, secrets, scanning and release controls.
• Improve platform reliability with monitoring, logging and disaster recovery.
• Translate complex requirements into secure, scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with architecture, security and governance forums to deliver outcomes.
• Mentor engineers and promote reusable engineering standards.
• Explore responsible AI-enabled engineering to boost productivity.
