Job summary

Australian Prudential Regulation Authority in Sydney CBD NSW seeks a Senior DevOps and Platform Automation Engineer to lead technical practices across data delivery platforms, CI/CD pipelines and secure software delivery lifecycle.

You will design and improve cloud and on-prem automation, infrastructure as code, security controls, observability and operational resilience, focusing on Azure and Azure Databricks, while mentoring teams and guiding governance and secure delivery.

Qualifications

• Senior DevOps/Platform automation experience in complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Azure Databricks.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical leadership across DevOps, automation and release management.
• Design, build and maintain secure, reusable automation across Azure, Databricks and on-premises environments.
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines for security, testing and deployment across the software delivery lifecycle.
• Embed DevSecOps practices, including identity management, secrets handling and vulnerability remediation.
• Improve platform reliability with monitoring, logging, and runbooks.
• Mentor engineers and promote reusable engineering standards.
• Evaluate and adopt AI-enabled engineering tools responsibly.
