Job summary

CareCone Group is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps/Platform Engineer to build and support AWS-based Calypso platform infrastructure, focusing on scalable deployments and reliability. You will own CI/CD pipelines with GitLab SaaS, implement IaC with Terraform and Ansible, and help migrate workloads from on-prem to AWS, while enhancing observability and security.

Collaboration across Engineering, QA, Operations and Security will be essential to drive platform modernization and production

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE.
• Hands-on AWS experience including EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager, and RDS/Aurora.
• Strong GitLab SaaS and CI/CD pipelines experience.
• IaC with Terraform and configuration management with Ansible.
• Strong Linux administration and shell scripting (Bash/Python).
• Experience in regulated production environments.
• Strong understanding of deployment strategies, change and release governance.
• Experience implementing monitoring, logging, observability, and incident management.
• Experience with secrets management solutions such as Vault.
• Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and support AWS cloud infrastructure for Calypso platform and related services.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab SaaS across environments.
• Support migration of workloads from on-prem to AWS cloud platforms.
• Implement and maintain IaC using Terraform and Ansible.
• Automate deployments, database refreshes, environment provisioning, and operational support.
• Collaborate with Engineering, QA, Ops, Security, and Architecture to improve delivery and resilience.
• Support Aurora PostgreSQL migration activities, including deployment automation and environment support.
• Drive observability through logging, monitoring, OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, and related tooling.
• Manage secrets, certificates, credentials, and access controls with Vault and enterprise patterns.
• Support release governance, production readiness assessments, change management, and incident response.
• Troubleshoot issues across application, infrastructure, networking, and deployments.
• Contribute to DevOps standards, reusable pipelines, and cloud deployment frameworks across Markets domain.
• Maintain runbooks, environment documentation, deployment procedures, and platform standards.
• Support Calypso upgrades, service releases, and modernization incl. containerization and cloud-native deployment.
