AWS DevOps Engineer: Cloud Automation & Platform Upgrade

Job summary

Luxoft is seeking an experienced DevOps/Platform Engineer to join the OTC Clearing team in Australia. You will help modernize the Calypso-based platform, migrate workloads to AWS, and drive DevOps automation across the stack.

You will collaborate with Engineering, QA, Operations, Security, and Architecture to ensure production readiness and robust observability, including OpenTelemetry and CloudWatch.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform, Cloud Engineering, and SRE to support and optimize cloud-based infrastructure.
• Advanced hands-on skills with AWS services including compute, containers, storage, IAM, networking, monitoring, secrets management, and databases.
• Experience implementing DevOps pipeline for capital markets trading applications like Calypso, Murex, FIS, etc.
• Designing and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab SaaS for automated deployments and release orchestration
• IaC with Terraform and configuration management via Ansible
• Linux administration with automation scripting in Bash and Python
• Experience in regulated production environments and ITIL-aligned change/release processes
• Establishing monitoring, logging, observability, and incident response frameworks
• Engagement with Engineering, QA, Operations, Security, and Architecture teams

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and support AWS cloud infrastructure hosting the core platform and related services.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab SaaS for automated deployments across environments.
• Support migration of workloads from on-premise to AWS cloud platforms.
• Implement and maintain IaC using Terraform and Ansible.
• Automate deployments, database refreshes, environment provisioning, and support processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve delivery efficiency and platform resilience.
• Support migration activities including deployment automation and environment support for Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Drive observability via logging, monitoring, alerting, OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, etc.
• Manage secrets, certificates, credentials, and access controls per security patterns.
• Support release governance, production readiness, change management, and incident response.
• Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, networking, and deployment issues across environments.
• Contribute to DevOps standards and reusable cloud deployment frameworks.
