Job summary

Experis Australia is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop and deliver secure, scalable cloud-native applications on AWS. You will lead development of APIs, microservices, and serverless components while guiding architectural decisions in an Agile environment.

You will work with Java, Python, Node.js, JavaScript or TypeScript and build infrastructure with Terraform, CloudFormation, and AWS CDK. On-site in Canberra, with a flexible onboarding and ongoing AWS security focus.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering software engineering solutions in AWS cloud environments.
• Strong development experience with Java, Python, Node.js, JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience developing cloud-native applications, microservices and API integrations.
• Strong knowledge of serverless and container technologies including AWS Lambda, ECS and EKS.
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation and/or AWS CDK.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications, APIs, microservices, and integration services hosted on AWS.
• Build serverless, event-driven and containerised solutions using AWS technologies.
• Develop high-quality software using Java, Python, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Design and provision cloud infrastructure with Terraform, CloudFormation, and AWS CDK.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, deployment, and infrastructure provisioning.
• Mentor team members and contribute to architecture discussions and best practices.
