Experis ManpowerGroup Sp. z o.o. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Canberra to design, develop, deploy, and support cloud-native applications on AWS. You will lead technical decisions in a multidisciplinary Agile team, focusing on secure, scalable solutions and enterprise-grade architecture.

The role emphasizes hands-on development across Java, Python and Node.js, with serverless and containerised workloads. You will mentor teammates and contribute to cloud governance and best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong AWS engineering background with hands-on development.
• Experience designing and delivering secure, scalable, cloud-native applications.
• Ability to guide technical decisions within an Agile delivery team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain cloud-native applications, APIs, microservices and integration services hosted on AWS.
• Build serverless, event-driven and containerised solutions using AWS technologies including Lambda, ECS, EKS, API Gateway, EventBridge, SNS, SQS and Step Functions.
• Develop high-quality software using Java, Python, Node.js, JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Design and provision cloud infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation and CDK.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, deployment and infrastructure provisioning.
• Create reusable cloud components and deployment patterns across initiatives.
• Translate business requirements into secure, scalable technical solutions.
• Conduct code reviews, testing, QA and defect resolution.
• Investigate incidents and performance issues and resolve defects.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and cloud governance.
