Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a P-8A Avionics Engineer to support the P-8A Poseidon team from RAAF Base Edinburgh, Adelaide. You will provide engineering input across aircraft, mission systems, and training systems while leading projects and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires a BE in electrical/electronics/aerospace with 7–12 years' avionics experience, plus strong data analysis, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Aerospace) from a nationally accredited program.
• RPEQ and/or CPEng is desirable.
• 7–12 years' experience in avionics systems or related engineering for in-service aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support across the full P-8A weapon system and training systems.
• Drive development and improvement of procedures for data collection and reporting.
• Review and contribute to engineering reports and translate analysis into recommendations.
• Lead projects from concept through delivery meeting schedules and regulatory needs.
• Engage stakeholders with updates, briefings and presentations.
