Job summary

Auto & General (A&G) is seeking a pivotal Senior Automation Analyst to architect, design, and build robust, scalable automation platforms and tools. Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Senior Automation Analyst, Senior Software Developer, or Automation Specialist.
• Expert-level proficiency with modern UI automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress).
• Solid understanding of REST API development and testing.
• Experience designing and deploying robust software systems and custom automation frameworks.
• Extensive knowledge of CI/CD platforms (Bamboo, Bitbucket, GitLab) and version control.
• Proven technical leadership, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.
• Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and evolution of scalable automation frameworks.
• Drive adoption of new automation technologies and methodologies.
• Develop and optimise highly reliable UI (Playwright, Cypress) and API automation components.
• Architect and implement end-to-end automation pipelines within CI/CD (Bamboo, GitLab, Bitbucket).
• Establish and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and architectural principles for automation.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and knowledge sharing.
• Research and integrate emerging technologies like AI/ML to optimise automation.
• Ensure operational stability of automation systems; support overnight/weekend deployments.
