Job summary

TJW Automotive Services Pty Ltd in Rouse Hill, NSW is seeking a hands-on Motor Mechanic/Technician to join a leadership-focused team. The role involves overseeing day-to-day workshop operations while continuing to perform repairs and servicing.

This full-time position offers a Monday-Friday schedule, weekends free, competitive salary based on experience, and an opportunity to step into a Leading Hand/2IC role in a friendly and supportive workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified and experienced mechanic
• Minimum 5 years' automotive mechanical experience
• Holds a current NSW Pink Slip (AIS) licence
• Holds a current unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
• Confident diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicles
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, organised and takes pride in their work
• Has strong attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship
• Confident communicating with customers and team members
• Looking to take the next step into a Leading Hand / 2IC position

Responsibilities

• Carrying out mechanical servicing, repairs and diagnostics
• Tyre fitting, balancing, wheel alignment and general tyre-related work
• Helping coordinate the workshop and allocate jobs
• Supporting and assisting other mechanics and apprentices
• Supporting and assisting the workshop manager and filling in
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety
• Carrying out vehicle inspections and roadworthy-related work
• Communicating with customers when required
• Helping ensure jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard
• Stepping up and taking responsibility for the workshop when required
