Job summary

Accru Melbourne is seeking a Senior Auditor with a minimum of three years’ external audit experience to join our close-knit Audit team. You will lead medium to large engagements, interact directly with clients and senior leaders, and guide junior team members through their development.

You will have ownership of engagements, opportunities for client exposure, and a collaborative environment that supports growth within a respected Melbourne firm.

Qualifications

• Three years external audit experience.
• Undergraduate degree in accounting, commerce, or related discipline.
• CA or CPA qualification, or progress towards completion.
• Sound knowledge of auditing and accounting standards.
• Caseware knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities

• Run medium to large audit engagements from planning through completion.
• Drive interim and final audit work, ensuring progress against timeframes.
• Prepare and review financial statements in line with standards.
• Act as a regular client contact and participate in meetings with clients and boards.
• Review the work of Graduates and Intermediate Auditors, providing timely feedback.
• Support the training, delegation and development of junior team members.
• Monitor engagement progress, budgets and billing requirements.
• Present completed files to Managers, Directors and Partners for review.
• Look for opportunities to add value for clients beyond the audit engagement.
