Job summary

Travel + Leisure Co. is seeking a Night Auditor for the Novotel Sydney International Airport to manage the hotel’s overnight operations and ensure guest satisfaction and safety. You’ll handle late arrivals, prepare reports, and balance daily transactions in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong numerical skills, computer literacy, and experience with hotel PMS systems. This is a part-time position with weekend/night shifts; RSA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• RSA Certificate required.
• Hospitality software experience is a plus.
• Strong numerical and accounting basics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overnight hotel operations and ensure guest safety.

Job Description

• Welcoming our late arrival guests and farewellto our early departures.
• Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Hotel’s overnight operation, maintaining guest satisfaction and the safety and security of the property.
• Taking initiative to ensure positive and productive interactions with our customers.
• Undertake the daily reconciliation of the Hotel’s trading, including checking and preparing reports, completing audits, and collating the necessary paperwork for departures.
• Prepare and distribute relevant reports to relevant departments.
• Managing and confirming reservation details and accounts for in-house guest details ensuring all details are recorded accurately.
• Strong analytical skills with a high level of computer literacy and accuracy.
• Ability to work evening shifts 11pm to 7am.

Qualifications

• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work autonomously.
• A hands-on team player with a can-do attitude.
• Initiates contact and establishes rapport easily.
• Willingness to take ownership and have the initiative to carry out different tasks as required.
• A good understanding of finance and accounting practices.
• The ability to coordinate multiple tasks whilst maintaining attention to detail.
• Your Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate.
• Knowledge of Opera Cloud is a bonus.

How You’ll Shine

As a Night Auditor, you will be responsible for the overnight operation of the front desk. This includes greeting and registering of owners and guests, providing information to local area attractions, completion of all department related paperwork and using all communication equipment including telephones, facsimiles and computers. This is a part time position (Suitable candidates will be rostered Friday & Saturday nights).

• Previous experience within a similar hotel position
• Genuine passion for customer service and the local area
• Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and positive individual
• Immaculate presentation and professional grooming standards
• High levels of computer literacy
• Previous experience with a PMS system (Hirum, Fidelio, Opera etc) advantageous
