Job summary

Simon & Schuster Australia is seeking an Audiobook Production Executive to coordinate the production of the audiobook list across imprints, ensuring high standards, on schedule and within budgets.

Working with Publishing, Sales, Marketing and Publicity, you will grow the audiobook format by developing production approaches, identifying opportunities and providing informed advice on production and market trends.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of audiobook, audio, media or publishing production processes.
• Understanding of production schedules, quality requirements and commercial considerations.
• Experience liaising with authors, agents, narrators, studios or external production partners.
• Highly organised with ability to manage multiple titles and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee audiobook production from recording to publication, including casting, booking narrators, studios and partners.
• Monitor schedules and costs, ensuring quality controls are maintained.
• Develop production systems and workflows, and advise on market trends.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Publicity to identify promotional opportunities.
