Job summary

Simon & Schuster Australia is seeking an Audiobook Production Executive to coordinate the end-to-end production of the audiobook list across imprints, ensuring titles meet high standards, budgets and timelines. You will work closely with Publishing, Sales, Marketing and Publicity to grow the format and identify promotional opportunities.

The role involves casting, booking narrators, studios and partners; managing costs, quality control, and developing production systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in audiobook, audio, media or publishing production.
• Understanding of production schedules and quality requirements.
• Experience with authors, agents, narrators and studios.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; Adobe Audition experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple titles and deadlines autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production from recording to publication, ensuring high standards, on schedule and within budgets.
• Book narrators, studios, and external partners; liaise with authors and agents.
• Monitor schedules and costs; ensure quality-control standards are met.
• Record and amend credits; maintain a network of narrators, studios and partners.
• Identify opportunities for behind‑the‑scenes material and advise on market trends.
