Job summary

NAB is seeking a Senior Associate in Melbourne to join the Corporate & Institutional Bank. You will build transaction structures, prepare credit submissions, and analyse financials to support decision making.

You’ll manage customer portfolios, monitor compliance, and work with Client Coverage, Product, and Credit teams to deliver seamless outcomes. You’ll also contribute to process improvements, develop tools and templates, and coach junior staff to uplift capability within the team.

In the role of Senior Associate, you will join the Corporate & Institutional Bank, aswe strengthen our focusoncustomer obsession & keeping it simple.

You’ll make an impact each day by:

• Structuring transactions and preparing clear, high-quality credit submissions, incorporating financial analysis, financial modelling, due diligence and legal reviews, and recommendations to senior stakeholders
• Managing a portfolio of customers including monitoring compliance and hygiene requirements accurately and within agreed timeframes
• Coordinating with Client Coverage, Product Partners, Credit and support teams to deliver a seamless customer experience
• Secondary expectations include supporting simplification and process improvements through analysis, testing, tools, templates, communications and training
• Coaching graduates, Associates and NAB India colleagues to strengthen capability and delivery consistency

You’ll bring to this role:

• Essential: Credit analysis, financial analysis, written communication, stakeholder management portfolio management, and proven experience in writing credit submissions, annual reviews and client information papers clearly and succinctly.
• Desirable: financial modelling, transaction structuring, legal documentation, process improvement and coaching. A sound understanding of debt and financial markets products, macro risks and the regulatory environment
• Experience contributing to process simplification, solution design, testing, change support or training
• A relevant tertiary qualification in business, finance, law or a related discipline, together with strong stakeholder and collaboration skills
