The Department of Finance seeks an Assistant Director for the Naval Infrastructure and Investment Taskforce in Canberra. You will help lead complex, high-priority workstreams spanning commercial, financing, governance and implementation matters for national naval projects.

As a senior member of a small team, you will shape briefs to Government, coordinate cross‑agency input and manage advisers, delivering high‑quality advice in a sensitive policy environment for Defence and Australian Submarine

Qualifications

• Australian citizenship required under section 22(8) APS Act 1999.
• Must obtain and maintain the required security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead discrete workstreams elements and coordinate cross‑agency input.
• Manage specialist advisers and consultants.
• Shape submissions and briefs to Government.
• Resolve interdependencies across financing, commercial, design, regulatory, stakeholder and delivery workstreams.
