Job summary

Australian Naval Infrastructure Pty Ltd (ANI) seeks Design Managers to lead planning and design for the Osborne Naval Shipyards program, supporting the AUKUS defence plan. You will oversee complex projects up to AUD 1 billion and programs up to AUD 5 billion.

You will manage safety, time, cost and quality, coordinate design reviews, lead multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with legislation and policies while delivering on schedule.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Engineering, Project or Construction Management.
• Engineering degree or background in engineering management highly regarded.
• Experience in major projects or programs, design, construction and maintenance techniques.

Responsibilities

• Manage the planning and design process including requirement input and engineering change management.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team towards project outcomes and mentor wider team.
• Coordinate and manage design reviews and provide reports with contractor input against baselines.
• Manage design input throughout construction including change, RFIs, hold points, assurance and readiness.
