Qualifications

• Experience in collections within asset finance or related financial services environments.
• Proven ability to manage overdue accounts and negotiate payment plans.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Practical, professional approach to resolving difficult customer situations.
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage a portfolio and priorities.
• Attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
• Confidence in interacting with customers, brokers and external advisers.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of overdue customer accounts.
• Contact customers regarding outstanding payments and negotiate payment arrangements.
• Work with customers to resolve payment issues and return accounts to satisfactory arrangements.
• Respond to enquiries from customers and brokers professionally and promptly.
• Liaise with administrators, liquidators, bankruptcy trustees, accountants and legal professionals as required.
• Maintain accurate records and provide regular reporting on overdue accounts.
• Escalate complex recovery matters to senior management.
• Assist with repossession and sale of motor vehicles and other financed assets when required.
• Collaborate with external collection and recovery specialists on complex matters.
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal/external stakeholders.
