Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC seeks a Lead ASIC Modem Design Engineer to define and implement digital chip SOCs for satellite communications. You will drive high-performance modem architectures, RTL, DSP blocks, and tight timing/power targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Communications Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of digital logic design experience, preferably in DSP or communications systems.

Responsibilities

• Define modem PHY subsystem architecture and micro-architecture for DSP data paths.
• Develop silicon through RTL implementation, timing, power optimization, and chip-level validation.
• Create verification test benches and collaborate with verification team using UVM, SystemC, and DPI-C.
• Work with PHY-MMAC boundary teams, software, and system integration to resolve HW-SW issues.
• Mentor junior team members and influence hardware design decisions.
