Job summary

DEM Australia seeks an Architect with 6-8+ years of local Australian experience to join our Chatswood office. You will work on a diverse portfolio, lead project teams, and advance to senior management responsibilities as the practice grows.

You will collaborate with DEM Management and other experienced Architects, delivering high-quality design and documentation, with proficiency in REVIT, SketchUp and Photoshop essential.

Qualifications

• 6-8+ years post-graduate experience in Australia within the field of architecture.
• Master of Architecture degree required.
• Proven REVIT skills essential; strong SketchUp and Photoshop proficiency expected.
• Experience with concept design, design development and production documentation.
• High accuracy and attention to detail; strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to lead teams and manage project deadlines across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist Directors and Associates in conceptual design, documentation and delivery of projects.
• Demonstrate capability to take on a Team Leader role on varied projects.
• Work independently to manage deadlines and project performance.
• Provide direction to junior team members and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Produce project documentation using CADD/BIM software.

Job description

We are looking for a motivated and talented Architect with 6-8+ years local experience to join our Chatswood office to work on a range of engaging projects within our architectural division.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Architect to join a rapidly growing practice, work across a diverse portfolio of significant projects and take on increasing responsibility as the practice continues to expand.

You will work with all levels of DEM Management and other experienced project Architects. Applicants must have commitment to quality design and documentation, creativity, good communication and organisational skills and be willing to demonstrate initiative and the potential to grow into a more senior management role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with Directors and Associates, assisting in the conceptual design, documentation, and delivery of our projects.
• Ability to undertake Team Leader role on a variety of projects.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for project deadlines and project performance.
• Ability to provide junior team member direction and collaborate with the project team and other teams in a wider capacity.
• Undertake production documentation of projects using CADD / BIM software.

You will be required to demonstrate that you have:

• 6-8+ years post-graduate experience in Australia within the field of architecture.
• Master of Architecture
• A high level of REVIT skills essential.
• Proven experience with concept design, design development and production documentation.
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of the job.
• Clear communication, comprehension, and organisational skills.
• Sound abilities in the use of Sketchup and Photoshop.
• Good time management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
• Experience in the Data Centre / Mission Critical sector would be highly desirable, although not mandatory.
