Job summary

Kia Australia is seeking an experienced Accountant to support our finance operations with accounts payable processing, reporting, and financial administration. The role focuses on timely AP processing, reconciliations, and collaboration on budgeting and audits.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, leveraging SAP, Excel, and strong analytical skills to deliver accurate financial information and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in an Accounts Payable position.
• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related discipline preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• A collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive "can-do" attitude with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• SAP experience will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process payments in accordance with established payment schedules.
• Verify and process supplier invoices within SAP.
• Maintain and update vendor records and databases.
• Ensure all weekly and monthly reporting deadlines are achieved.
• Prepare and review allocated balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with budget management and cost control activities.
• Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly management reporting packs.
• Produce departmental cost centre reporting and analysis.
• Assist with annual budgeting and business planning activities.
• Provide ad hoc reporting and financial analysis as required.
• Participate in business process improvement initiatives and projects.
• Support internal and external audit requirements.
