Job summary

Rippling is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to lead ANZ payroll operations from Sydney, Australia. You will own end-to-end payroll, manage escalations, and ensure correct tax treatments across Australia and New Zealand within Rippling’s global payroll framework.

This senior role requires deep ANZ payroll knowledge, strong mentoring skills, and a track record of improving controls and processes. The position is hybrid, with 3 days a week in the Sydney office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of ANZ end-to-end payroll processing with complex escalations.
• Expert knowledge of PAYG, STP, KiwiSaver and NZ/ANZ tax rules.
• Experience with EOR or multi-country payroll operations.
• Strong communication, documentation and mentoring skills.
• Attention to controls, SOPs and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Own complex EOR payroll processing for Australia and New Zealand.
• Handle escalations, overpayments and tax-code issues.
• Create and validate payslips, inputs and payroll configurations.
• Advise on payroll requirements and statutory treatments.
• Review outputs and reconcile deductions, superannuation.
• Strengthen controls, SOPs, and knowledge resources.
