Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Android Developer (Kotlin) to join a fully remote, international team based in Australia. You'll build accessible native Android apps using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Android Views, prioritising TalkBack compatibility and WCAG guidelines.

You will implement accessibility features, optimise navigation, and collaborate on long-term projects to deliver high‑quality mobile experiences in a flexible remote setup.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of native Android development.
• Strong Kotlin skills and hands-on accessibility experience.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose and/or Android Views.
• Proficient with TalkBack and Android Accessibility APIs.
• Good English communication skills in an international team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin.
• Build components with Jetpack Compose and Android Views.
• Ensure stability, performance, and high code quality.
• Implement accessibility features for inclusive experiences.
• Ensure TalkBack compatibility and use accessibility APIs.
• Configure content descriptions, roles, and navigation for accessibility.
• Support scalable text and accessible touch targets.
• Conduct accessibility testing, especially with TalkBack.
• Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1/2.2.
