Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior iOS Developer (Swift) based in Australia to build accessible, high-performance native iOS apps. You will implement VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, and WCAG-aligned features across Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit, while delivering robust interfaces and a reliable codebase.

You will work remotely within an international team, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure accessible, high-quality mobile experiences for diverse users.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of native iOS development experience
• Strong Swift proficiency and iOS fundamentals
• Commercial experience with SwiftUI and/or UIKit
• Hands-on accessibility feature implementation in iOS apps
• Experience with VoiceOver testing and optimization
• Experience using iOS Accessibility APIs and SwiftUI Accessibility features
• Ability to implement Dynamic Type and scalable interfaces
• Experience configuring accessibility labels, traits, values and actions
• Ability to troubleshoot accessibility focus management
• Proven accessibility testing experience and issue resolution
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 is a plus
• Strong debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good English communication skills in a distributed team environment
• Independent, proactive, quality-focused working style in remote settings

Responsibilities

• Native iOS development using Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.
• Build and optimize UI with accessibility in mind for high-quality UX.
• Maintain performance, architecture, and reliability of the app.
• Design and refine accessibility features for diverse users.
• Ensure VoiceOver compatibility and screen-reader navigation quality.
• Leverage iOS Accessibility APIs and SwiftUI to enhance accessibility.
• Implement Dynamic Type and scalable font sizing.
• Configure accessibility labels, traits, values, and actions.
• Manage accessibility focus to support intuitive navigation.
• Conduct hands-on accessibility testing and fix defects.
• Ensure WCAG 2.1/2.2 compliance and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with distributed teams to deliver accessible mobile solutions.
