Qualifications

• Proficient in Kotlin and the Android SDK with hands-on development experience.
• Strong knowledge of XML layouts and Jetpack Compose for UI design.
• Solid grasp of Activities, Fragments and Android app architecture.
• Experience with background work, services, threading and permissions.
• Deep understanding of lifecycle management and performance optimisation.
• Experience leading technical delivery and mentoring Android developers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and delivery of Android applications.
• Build and maintain apps using Android, Kotlin, XML and Jetpack Compose.
• Work across Android components including Activities, Fragments and Compose Views.
• Develop and manage background processing and services.
• Implement and manage Android permissions, lifecycle management and security.
• Drive best practices around code quality, performance, testing and maintainability.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other developers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions and deliver new features.
• Troubleshoot, optimise and continuously improve app performance.
