Job summary

Eucalyptus is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to own the accuracy, reliability, and scalability of financial data and reporting across all brands. You’ll align finance, commercial, data, and engineering teams to standardise models, governance, and documentation for multiple markets.

You’ll collaborate with global teams to shape data collection, build payback models, and implement end-to-end data quality, ensuring reporting is robust and auditable for strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in analytics engineering or financial/commercial analytics.
• Strong SQL skills, ideally in BigQuery, for data modelling and validation.
• Detail oriented with ability to self-validate assumptions and detect data gaps.
• Strong sense of ownership.
• Familiarity with dbt or similar transformation tools.
• Familiarity with financial concepts (Revenue, CAC, Payback, LTV).
• Strong documentation habits and written records.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve accuracy and reliability of core orders, revenue and refunds models.
• Configure and manage integrations with financial reporting tools (eg Netsuite).
• Standardise reporting across regions (UK, EU, AU, JP, CA).
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to manage changes across products/processes and reduce downstream impacts.
• Provide accurate, reliable, documented data for SEC reporting with US finance team.
• Build automated checks for data reliability and monitor reporting drift.
• Understand upstream source data and impacts on reporting figures.
• Model product COGs and services costs to build payback models for capital allocation decisions.
• Work with finance, commercial and ops teams to maintain product COGs data.
• Track and attribute marketing spend data (Google, Facebook, TikTok).
