Job summary

Eucalyptus is seeking an Analytics Engineer to own the accuracy, reliability, and scalability of financial data across our brands. You will standardise models, govern data, and document reporting for internal and external use, collaborating with finance, commercial, engineering, and operations teams globally.

You'll build automated checks, monitor data quality, and work with teams across markets (UK, EU, AU, JP, CA) to ensure trusted insights and support capital allocation decisions as we scale.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years in analytics engineering, financial or commercial analytics.
• Strong SQL skills, ideally in BigQuery, for data modelling and validation.
• Familiarity with dbt or similar transformation tools.
• Detail orientated, able to self-validate assumptions and data gaps.
• Strong sense of ownership and documentation habits.
• Familiarity with financial concepts (Revenue, CAC, Payback, LTV).

Responsibilities

• Maintain accuracy of core orders, revenue & refunds models.
• Configure integrations with financial reporting tools (Netsuite).
• Standardise reporting across regions (UK, EU, AU, JP, CA).
• Partner with engineering and operations to manage changes and reduce impact.
• Provide accurate, reliable data for SEC reporting with US finance team.
• Build automated checks for data reliability and drift detection.
• Understand upstream data and change impacts on reporting figures.
• Model product COGs and services costs to inform capital allocation.
• Track marketing spend data across channels.
