Job summary

Eftsure is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to design, build and maintain scalable data models that transform raw and staged data into analytics-ready datasets. You’ll partner with multiple teams to translate business challenges into data solutions and enable self-service analytics through semantic layers and dashboards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Engineering or a similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with dbt in production environments.
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex transformations, optimisation and data modelling.
• Deep understanding of dimensional modelling, medallion architectures and semantic layer design.
• Experience with modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or ClickHouse.
• Experience building business-facing analytics and reporting solutions using tools such as Metabase, Power BI or similar BI platforms.
• Working proficiency in Python for data-related development.
• Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD practices.
• Comfortable working in UNIX/Linux environments.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and quality.

Responsibilities

• Own analytics engineering layer and maintain scalable data models.
• Partner with Product, Customer, Finance, Marketing, Operations and Leadership to translate business challenges into data solutions.
• Enable self-service analytics with semantic layers, dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Raise the engineering bar by defining standards, mentoring and governance across modelling, testing and documentation.
• Stay current with emerging tools and contribute to the data roadmap.
