Job summary

Bendigo Bank is expanding its Financial Crime Risk function and seeks a Senior Analyst Financial Crime Assurance. You will contribute to strengthening the risk management framework and play a key role in control testing, issue tracking, and remediation oversight.

Joining a growing second line, you will work across the organisation to ensure compliant, effective financial crime controls while supporting flexible hybrid work arrangements in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney or other locations.

Qualifications

• Solid financial crime risk knowledge with proven application.
• Experience participating in assurance and assurance testing frameworks in a financial institution.
• Experience in issue management, remediation oversight and root cause analysis.
• ACAMS or AFCS certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help provide assurance that financial crime controls and processes are implemented and operate effectively.
• Participate in independent control testing and thematic reviews.
• Identify financial crime issues, track remediation, and validate closure.

We are currently recruiting multiple driven and experienced analysts to join this enhanced function.

About the Role

The Senior Analyst Financial Crime Assurance reports to Head of Financial Crime Assurance.

• helps provide assurance that financial crime controls and operational processes are implemented, operate effectively and comply with applicable financial crime requirements and obligations and BEN's risk appetite.
• assisting with independent control testing and thematic reviews
• assists with the identification of financial crime issues, tracking, remediation oversight and closure validation ensuring that deficiencies identified through the assurance activity are appropriately managed, remediated and sustainably resolved.

What you'll bring to the role

• Solid financial crime risk knowledge with proven application.
• Experience participating in assurance and assurance testing frameworks in a financial institution.
• Experience in participating in financial crime risk assurance teams.
• Experience in issue management, remediation oversight and root cause analysis. Preferred - Tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
• Forward thinking with ability to ignite potential, elevate performance, and deliver a compelling vision at all levels of the organisation.
• Strong skill at communicating and influencing stakeholders and delivering change to teams and business processes.
• Able to navigate and deliver on business outcomes, while being comfortable with ambiguity.
• Preferred - Tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
• Preferred - Financial Crime Industry qualification preferred such as ACAMS, AFCS.
