Abm Global Compliance (UK) Ltd, on behalf of a remittance client registered with AUSTRAC, seeks a locally based MLRO to act as AML/CTF Compliance Officer. This is a senior oversight role, not a day-to-day transaction reviewer.

You will own AML/CTF policies, risk assessments, and reporting oversight, guiding the operations team and interfacing with regulators and banks. Based in Australia, you’ll provide judgement and accountability above routine compliance tasks.

Qualifications

• Senior AML/CTF compliance professional
• Experience in remittance/payments/financial services preferred
• Knowledge of AUSTRAC regime and reforms
• Ability to interact with regulators and banks

Responsabilités

• Act as named AML/CTF Compliance Officer and main AUSTRAC contact
• Own AML/CTF policies, risk assessments and procedures
• Decide on suspicious matter reports and oversee reporting obligations
• Approve high-risk customers, PEPs and escalated cases
• Oversee KYC/CDD, EDD, sanctions screening and transaction monitoring quality
• Represent client with banks and financial institutions
• Report to Director on compliance health and remediation
• Be reachable for regulator or bank inquiries
