Job summary

Airwallex is seeking a driven InfoSec engineer to lead the development of AI security tools and internal tooling infrastructure. You will work with Kubernetes clusters, serverless workloads, and ETL pipelines to strengthen security across systems and data.

You’ll mentor engineers, collaborate with product teams, and help raise the engineering bar, with offices in Sydney or Melbourne and a focus on autonomous, rapid delivery.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Experience with production codebases.
• Experience with Python and Go or C/C++.
• Experience with modern cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, serverless workloads, and Kubernetes.
• Strong autonomous work style and delivering high-quality projects on time.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of AI security tools and applications.
• Build infrastructure for internal tooling with Kubernetes, serverless workloads, and ETL pipelines.
• Support incident response with threat hunting, remediation, and security scanning.
• Mentor software engineers and raise engineering standards across the team.
