Job summary

NCS Australia is seeking an experienced AI DevSecOps Governance SME for a 12-month contract in Sydney to lead AI-driven security governance across our SDLC. You will design and enforce governance frameworks, automate policy checks, and integrate security testing into modern CI/CD pipelines.

Lead with AI capabilities, establish security baselines for developer AI usage, and work with Security Architecture, Engineering, and Product teams to drive adoption across squads.

Qualifications

• DevSecOps practices, CI/CD security controls, and application security standards in enterprise environments.
• AI/LLM tools to automate governance, policy checking, or code review workflows in security
• Translate regulatory, security and data privacy requirements into automated software controls.
• Proficiency with modern CI/CD platforms, scripting (Python, Bash) and APIs to integrate AI workflows into pipelines.
• Excellent stakeholder management with experience driving security culture and developer adoption.
• Exposure to secure AI deployment frameworks, model risk management or AI safety standards (e.g., OWASP Top 10 for LLMs).
• Experience with enterprise code scanning tools (SAST, SCA, DAST) and AI-driven triage mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• AI-Driven Security Governance: design and enforce DevSecOps governance frameworks and compliance standards using AI/LLMs.
• Automated Policy Enforcement: deploy AI-assisted controls for code review, policy validation and security checks in CI/CD.
• Responsible AI & Security Standards: set guidelines for developer AI usage to manage data privacy and IP risk.
• Pipeline Integration & Shift-Left: integrate intelligent security testing and remediation guidance into CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Cross-Functional Leadership: collaborate with Security, Engineering, and Product teams to drive AI governance roadmaps and adoption.
