Job summary

Firmus Technologies Pty Ltd. is seeking a Senior AI Security Engineer to embed security into AI products and applications across our AI Factory platform.

You will partner with AI engineers, product managers, and platform teams to design secure architectures, implement threat models, and enforce strong identity, access controls, and data protection across model-serving APIs and enterprise data integrations. Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in security engineering, application security, cloud security, platform security, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience embedding security practices into software engineering or product-development teams and supporting secure delivery from design through production.
• Strong understanding of application security, API security, secure SDLC practices, threat modeling, vulnerability management, and security automation.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product, engineering and platform teams to define secure-by-design architectures for AI-powered products.
• Threat-model LLM-enabled workflows and agentic systems; identify and mitigate prompt injection and data exfiltration risks.
• Design secure patterns for identity, authorization, credentials, tool allowlists, and auditability.
• Secure RAG and enterprise workflows including data ingestion, indexing, and tenant isolation.
• Define security controls for user-facing AI products: authentication, authorization, consent, rate limiting, and audit trails.
• Lead vulnerability management for AI applications, model-serving runtimes, containers, and dependencies.
• Develop reusable guardrails, templates, and policy-as-code to make secure implementation the default path.
