Job summary

Firmus Technologies seeks a Senior Security Engineer to lead platform security in the AI Platforms team. You will design and implement security across cloud and on-premise environments, and partner with other teams to embed security deeply across products.

With 7+ years in platform security or DevSecOps, you will apply CIS/NIST/ISO SOC2 standards, manage Kubernetes security, and automate IaC security scanning to protect high-performance AI workloads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience as Platform Security, DevSecOps or Site Reliability Engineer.
• Proficiency in security standards and frameworks (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
• Kubernetes security and networking best practices; familiar with Calico, kube-bench, Falco.
• Kubernetes supply chain security with Cosign, Trivy, Kyverno.
• Automated IaC security scanning with Checkov or Snyk.
• Secrets management (HashiCorp Vault or Azure Key Vault).
• Identity and Privileged Access Management tools (Auth0, Microsoft Entra, HashiCorp Boundary or Teleport).
• SSL/TLS certificate management and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead platform security efforts by assessing risks, hardening platforms, and ensuring secure access for cloud and on-prem systems.
• Own security standards for Firmus Managed Kubernetes Service for high-performance computing with NVIDIA H200 and GB300.
• Apply Kubernetes security best practices (RBAC, admission controllers, pod security, auditing, network policies).
• Implement supply chain security for Kubernetes (image signing, vulnerability scanning, policy enforcement).
• Secure IaC pipelines with automated security scanning.
• Automate patch management for platform components with testing before deployment.
• Collaborate with teams to enhance security posture (compliance checks, secrets management, IAM, encryption, monitoring).
