This senior backend role sits in our AI Scheduling team, shaping the product that blends demand, availability and labour cost with enterprise-scale reliability. You will design, build and ship features, mentor peers, and ensure performance and security across a multi-tenant

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a backend software engineer.
• Experience shipping customer-facing software and balancing delivery speed, reliability and maintainability.
• Experience designing REST or RPC APIs with good monitoring and observability.
• Ability to explain engineering decisions to technical and non-technical people.
• Experience working with Product and Design on problems that are not fully defined and moving them forward.
• Experience using AI coding tools in your own work and evaluating their output.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design of squad projects, build and ship them, and stay with them once customers depend on them.
• Ship in small, well-tested steps, improve the code you touch, and raise risks early to avoid surprises.
• Work with Product, Design and Data to turn customer problems into features with measurable impact.
• Develop a deep understanding of the Scheduling product and its architecture to inform sound decisions.
• Make pragmatic trade-offs between speed and reliability for enterprise-scale needs.
• Improve performance, reliability, security and maintainability of a multi-tenant SaaS product.
