Job summary

OpnLabs Pty Ltd seeks a Senior AI Platform Engineer to design, build and operate the production AI platform powering DyDox. You will shape architecture, improve scalability and optimize AI inference across GPU deployments.

You will lead backend development, cloud infrastructure and deployment automation while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with product stakeholders to deliver robust, secure AI solutions.

Qualifications

• Australian Citizenship is required.
• Minimum five years of professional software engineering experience.
• At least two years building or supporting production AI/LLM-based platforms.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Experience with FastAPI or similar Python web frameworks.
• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) or LLM-based applications.
• Experience with vector databases (Chroma, pgvector, FAISS).
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Docker.
• Experience deploying cloud applications, preferably on Microsoft Azure.
• Good understanding of GPU-based AI inference.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain production-grade AI platforms.
• Build and enhance AI agent orchestration workflows using modern LLM frameworks.
• Evaluate and optimise open-source language models.
• Improve inference performance, scalability and deployment efficiency.
