Enlighten, a leader in AI software solutions, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build foundational AI integration frameworks and an agentic platform for the Data Lake tool, JCRSD. Focus on Python components and container orchestration.

Role emphasizes secure, scalable integration of AI using industry best practices and LLMs, with collaboration across teams to expose APIs.

Hybrid work in Columbia, MD, with strong security requirements and opportunity to influence enterprise AI architecture.

Qualifications

• Security clearance required or to be obtained; U.S. citizenship.
• 5+ years software engineering with Python backend focus; Kubernetes experience.
• Experience integrating LLM APIs or open-source models into production.
• Designing enterprise APIs and microservices.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in Linux CLI.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Python components for the agentic platform.
• Deploy and scale applications in Kubernetes clusters.
• Build MCP servers and reusable AI skills.
• Collaborate with teams to expose Java APIs to AI agents.
• Implement enterprise AI guardrails for data privacy and safety.
• Maintain tests and automated pipelines for non-deterministic outputs.
• Tackle troubleshooting and multi-deadline delivery in a fast-paced environment.
